Accessibility
Meison is committed to making meison.com usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, screen magnification, or other assistive technology.
The standard we build to
We design and build this site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We treat that as a working requirement rather than an aspiration: contrast, keyboard operation, and assistive-technology support are checked as part of how pages are made, not audited afterwards.
What we have done
- Every meaningful image carries descriptive alternative text, and purely decorative images are hidden from assistive technology so they do not interrupt reading.
- The whole site can be operated from the keyboard, with a visible focus indicator and a “skip to content” link at the top of every page.
- Text meets or exceeds a 4.5:1 contrast ratio against its background.
- Pages use structured headings and landmark regions, so a screen-reader user can move through a page by section instead of reading it end to end.
- Every form field has a permanent visible label that is programmatically connected to its input.
- Motion and animation respect the “reduce motion” setting in your operating system.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-time project. We review the site as we publish new content and features. Some material, particularly documents or media produced by third parties, may not yet meet the same standard, and we address issues as we find them.
