The Story
Knitwear for Women, By a Woman Who Knew Better.
Misook Doolittle, born in Seoul and trained in fine art in the American Midwest, saw a gap no one else was filling: clothes made for women, by women. In 1985, she began hand-knitting one-of-a-kind pieces in her New York home, and “Exclusively Misook” quickly grew into the premier name in American luxury knitwear.
The brand’s signature silky knit still defines the category: machine-washable, wrinkle- and fade-resistant, and knit piece by piece using a waste-minimizing full-fashion technique with Bluesign-certified dyeing. These are timeless silhouettes with elegant details and sophisticated color, crafted to work as hard as the women who wear them.
Four decades later, the promise holds. Misook is designed in a New York studio and crafted with exacting quality control in Dallas, delivering timeless silhouettes for women who ask more of their clothes.
“Life may be hectic, but dressing well can be simple.”
